Are deer afraid of camera flash ???

I like to place my cameras about 6 or 7 foot high. They do seem to pass it off as lightning more often. Doesn't seem to spook them like a flash in the face. I do think it all depends on the personality too. Some deer don't care, others will only let it happen once. Like Goose said, it just seems to alter their path a little.
 
That said, i don't like IR pictures that well. I like the better quality photos.

yes they are but it depends
sometimes they think it is like lighting or something but if they see the flash and know were it came from than it will scare them
 
i have had numerous photos of deer getting scared f the flash and looking at it from 2 ft away from the bushes after the flash

Half of my pics are of deer at night.  Almost all of them stay for multiple shots, (1 minute apart), and don't even look at the camera.  That being said, almost all of them are does.  Bucks may be more spooked, or not.  So I say no. Panman
