The weeds and grass could be the problem, I have also found that you need to point the camera in a north or south position and not east or west due to the sun light setting it off, also the size of the tree it is on could be a factor if the wind moves the tree very much at the bottom.Shadows could also be fooling the camera or the deer could be walking through the feild of view befor the picture is taken due to slow trigger speed.What kind off camera is it, and what is your setup?
