Game Camera question

I put my camera out and i just got a bunch of blank pictures. Im not sure if it detects motion or what. There is a bunch of tall weeds and stuff around it and maybe that is what is settin it off. What should i do? Chop the weeds down and see if it helps?

The weeds and grass could be the problem, I have also found that you need to point the camera in a north or south position and not east or west due to the sun light setting it off, also the size of the tree it is on could be a factor if the wind moves the tree very much at the bottom.Shadows could also be fooling the camera or the deer could be walking through the feild of view befor the picture is taken due to slow trigger speed.What kind off camera is it, and what is your setup?

it is a moultrie camera and im not sure like what kind of moultrie camera it is. The setup is i have a pile of apples and fruit and stuff just to see what i can see. I just set it up on a fence post to see what it would capture. i put it facing north and there aren't any trees or anything around it.

Try knocking the weeds down, I have had great pictures of weeds, rain and falling snow from mine before so it doesn't take much to set them off.

What direction is the camera facing . Most Trail Cam directions say to face the camera towards the North or South . If it's East or West , the movement of the sun can trigger it .

I have a moultrie as well.  It takes blank pictures alot.  I have found that trees/weeds and definetly something having to do with the sunlight has something to do with it all. After getting a bunch of blank white pictures (probably due to the sun), i moved my camera into some heavier cover where the sunlight cant get through as easily and it seems to be doing alot better.

I have a moultrie also I got a few blanks, until I positioned it away from the morning and evening sun and looking straight down a trail.  I think a lot of my missed pictrures came from slow trigger speed, looking down the trail definately made a difference.

Comments on BPS site say that Moultrie takes a lot of white out pics... one guy thinks it is taking pics right at dusk when there is still sufficient light, but the IR turns on to early an "washes" it out. I dunno
