how do these weigh against the store boughts in price and function? im always up for buildin somethin rather than buyin it. i never even thought about makin trail cams. very inventive.

I have to home brew cameras. Both were made using the sites listed above. One has a p32 in it and one a p41. Both camera's take great photos and good trigger speeds. Before these cams i have made some in .30 cal ammo cans using automatic doorbell sensors and cannon owl PF's way back when from the same sites above.
I always found it fun to build something instead of buying it. Then when it breaks you know the system inside and out and can more easily trouble shoot the system.
