I have 100 acres of good habitat that is surrounded by guys that think if its brown its down. What I have had to do is put my entire 60 acre woodlot/swamp off limits to hunting and only hunt the perimeter fields and food plots.Only time anyone is allowed in the woods is to retrieve a down deer.Seems to work since I have shot bigger deer on my property than the surrounding properties. So in essence I have a 60 sanctuary.

Good suggestions listed above. I have 45 acres that I'm managing for deer. I try to be as invisible as possible leading up to and during the hunting season. Holds a lot of deer, but again, I don't want them to feel pressured. Let the surrounding areas do that. Some good ideas here for you: ... r-success/
