Age of South Alabama buck

I think this is a 4.5 to 5.5 y/o buck which would make him a shooter however he is a 7pt which does not meet our 8pt or better antler restrictions. As you can see it is October and our bucks are still in velvet. This camera is attached to the tree my stand is set up in....10 yrd bow shot.

Kind of hard to tell by that photo . Has a little sag in the belly but is not very long in the face . I would say he is 2.5 but that is just my guess .

I don't know southern deer that much but it wouldn't take alot to make me believe he's 4.5 or older. He looks like a pig of a buck.

I dont think that buck is ready for harvest just yet, he looks 2.5 to3.5 to me ,his neck is thin and his nose is to short ,just pass him for while he cant do anything but get bigger.
If you take him now we will never know how big he can really get.

I bet at least 3.5 he looks huge for a southern deer body wise.
