This year instead of attempting to develop a food plot in the woods I was thinking of planting trees. Now I already have mature white oak in this heavy forest area but wanted to plant something like apple, pear or crabapple as a food source. The more I’m reading about the proper PH, it seems like this is not the answer either. It seems that apple trees require a high PH 6.5. The current PH is approx. 4.7. Anyone have some ideas about what fruit trees work in an area with low PH?
