I agree that a 400 pound free ranging whitetail is very possible. There was a buck in Minnesota back in 1926 that field dressed at 402. Deer farther north need bigger bodies to survive the harsh winters.
Could the same be said for humans? That would explain all the pretty and finely slim girls in Texas!

That's what I have always thought! Definitely exceptions to every rule ie. Florida Black Bear and River Otters.
