From the interview with Mr. Decker, it sounds like someone truly deserving shot this deer.

The fact it might only be 3.5 years old is a real stunner though, what might it have become if allowed to age a few more years.

If you were to pass that up to age your either hunting in a fence or not human!

No, I wouldn't have passed it up either.  But still it would have been interesting to see what it would have grown too.

Also be interesting to see it's actual age after they cut a tooth and count rings.

I don't think it's going to break the world record.  It is a great deer, however, there are too many deductions on it to surpass the current world record.  Great deer though.

I definately would have passed that deer up based on its age, and it is a little small for my liking. I would have let him grow to at least five and a half or so.  JUST KIDDING!!!!!!  I am not that crazy!  That is an awesome deer and if it doesn't break the record because of deductions it would be a shame, to me character of a rack is just as important as everything else.  Whoever decided that a rack that is not perfect gets downscored is an idiot!  If you ask me the antlers should be scored on volume not inches.  This could be done by simply submerging the rack in water and measuring the displacement, it would be much more accurate and would not discriminate against "Imperfect" antlers.
