I understand that this is mostly a Midwest Forum, but thought it would be worth a try nonetheless...Any Virginia hunters out there? I am fortunate to hunt several different properties around the state...mostly in Cumberland, Faquier, and by far the best for me to date-Halixfax County. Just received an ongoing invite to hunt in Middleburg on a 1200 acre tightly managed farm, and looking forward to it.
Anyways, I'm curious as to how much whitetail management is taking its course in VA. I know on many of the properties that I hunt, we are putting restrictions on(and have been for some time now) which bucks can and cannot be taken. The 1200 acre spot in Middleburg is restricted to 120 class or better, and somewhat similar for the Faquier piece. EAB is instituted at all places. Anyone practicing similar deer management in VA?
VA hunters or not...this post has been helpful in the numerous tips posted on the forums.
