Do you buy the fall turkey archery tag with your deer tags

I always get the combo. I have never even tried to shoot at one but keep telling myself I will. I have started hunting out of a ground blind, along with tree stands, so figure the ground blind will give me a better opportunity.

I just bought my bow tags yesterday, and I went for one. For another $5.50, I figured what the hell, although I also know that what I've done is virtually GUARANTEE that I won't see a turkey! [:D]

In NH your turkey license comes with a spring tag and a fall tag. We don't have a choice. We have a 5 day fall shotgun hunt in Oct.
The total bill is 16 dollars for the chance at two birds.

What is it about turkeys?  I didn't get a turkey tag my first year deer hunting (bout 7 -8 years ago), and a big tom trots by my stand the second time out.  I get a tag before hitting the woods again, and haven't seen one in range ever since.

I always buy a turkey tag, you never know when a "suicide bird" is going to run in to your shooting lane.  I am yet to tag a turkey with my bow, but I have had several missed chances.  I had to call DNR before I found out that you can tag as many hens as you have tags.  I thought for years that the tag could only be used on a tom or bearded hen, to think of all the hens I passed on......[:'(]
