I've been seeing alot of chasing and doe trailing, and I have already seen some mature bucks bedded down with hot doe's. The rut is going to be in full swing for the firearms season, just like Charles A. predicted.  Good luck hunting!

Wow! tough season for me.   I climbed up into a huge brush pile in a creek bed and set for 7 hours Sat never saw or heard a deer.  I have seen a nice buck in the area several times.   I shot Bambi last night at 4:45, 1st deer I saw period.  I know I am telling on myself, but I about died when I saw how small she was.  Oh well, I know she will taste good.
