Scores?

I started hunting last season and was given a game camera to help scout the deer. I found a pretty good buck late in the season and never actually saw the deer while hunting. I was wondering if there is any way to tell if the deer in the black and white pictures could be the same deer from last season? The camera is in virtually the same place as it was last season. Also, how would these bucks score? I have no idea how to tell and was wondering how they compared. I posted a few pictures of both of them to try and provide a couple different angles.

Any thoughts on this are appreciated!

I think you have two different deer here. Both impressive, and would look best staining my tailgate. I don't know much about scoring deer, but the general shape of the beams is diferent, and the split brow tine on the black and white lead me to think they are different deer. However, there are some serious experts on here, who will most likely make me eat crow, but that is my opinion.

Definately not the same deer. I don't think that is a split brow tine? I think that is the tip of the main crossing with the brow tine? The mass of the deer from January is different than that of the on from November. And the over all appearance looks very different to me. JMO.

Different deer. I doubt that eight lost that much mass, yet added two points.

Definitely different deer. rmontez is right, mainbeam crossing brow tine. Just hate those night time IR photos. I have one cam that is an IR and would never buy another. I would say the 8pt would score somewhere around 140 plus or minus some. He has good mass and is quite symetrical, but not much for tine height. But a definite shooter. It's too bad you didn't find his sheds.

Buck #1 looks really old, like he may be going downhill old...

Definitely different bucks and both are absolute beauties.

Two different deer but both 140 class by my guess.

I'd shoot either one in a hot second but given a choice I like the first buck with all the mass.

Speaking of scores, did you score or have this years buck scored yet?
