I like to shoot a long beard as much as the next person, but if I can get a clean shot on a jake I will take it. Turkey season is tough and short. I am not likely to pass on a legal bird. Jakes taste much better then "tag soup".

Man! That's a good sign! Turkey season starts in my area this weekend. I'm going to try and do a little calling Friday evening to see were they are!

good luck on your seasons guys....waiting for May1 here...birds have been very quiet lately....I found the wings and part off a tail off one of my trails...some thing ate well ...Good sign all over though and lots of J droppings
