Congrats on getting back into it. Thats one hell of a hole with that muzzy 3 blade. I used to shoot them but I switched to rage due to the fact that the muzzys were eating up my targets.
 
As for your friends deer, wow! hopefully theres more like him out in the woods for ya

this is a nice little 8 pointer .... first deer my son was along for ....was walking down bush trail .... seen deer 100 -125 yards away in trees said to son lets sit down here and see what he does ... sat and watched it browse and walk right up to us .... it came within 25 feet then seen us ...
