Any idea how old? same buck?

Just curious if anyone has any idea how old they might think this buck is?


Do you think the 3rd pic three posts down is the same deer?

I'd say 2.5, even with that gut.

I would also say 2.5 with a small rack.  They say that a 1.5 resembles a doe and that buck is much bigger in size then a doe.

Thanks for the replies guys. I think this is a pic of him from 07 but I'm really not 100% sure. I just thought that because the left antler looks exactly the same as well as the neck and body (to me). I have other pics of him from 07 and 08 as well and from all the different angles he just looks the same to me. I figured I would post this since people on here seem to catch on to things I dont see and to get other perspectives.

What do you think same deer or no?

They both look very similiar the 06 deer has a forked G2 on the right unless that's a long browl tine, but they both seem to have very similiar left sides.  If it is the same deer it's body didn't change much over the course of a year.

I think the deer is 3.5. Yes the antlers are a bit light for a deer of that age and the neck is thin, but his gut is big, there is some tarsal staining and his hips are square. Plus the photos are pre-rut and his neck will swell.

As for the two deer being the same? No clue. I am about as good at judging that as I am judging deer beyond 3.5 yrs.
