This years bucks

Here are two bucks I got this year. The first was on opening day and was full of infection. The Conservation Agent let me get another tag which I used for the second buck.
My 12 year old daughter is in the 3rd picture along with Buddy (half Great Pyrene, Half Labrador) the best dog in the world.

Great pictures.  The first buck is a 3.5 year old.  The 2nd one is a 2.5 for sure, possibly a 3.5 year old.  That "dog" in the background is about a 4.5 or 5.5 year old!

I love the character on the first deer and the height and width on the second. Did MDC let you keep the antlers from the first buck?

In order to get a replacement tag you must forfeit the whole deer including the antlers. The conservation agent took the deer and called in to HQ with my tag info so that I could get another tag. The replacement tag cost $2.00, I suppose to cover the cost of the retailer.

Seems fair.

I once put down a doe that a poacher had wounded. The MDC Agent offered to issue me a tag at no cost, but I had an antlerless tag anyway and I did not want to wait for him to show up. I'd rather he be out trying to catch the poacher. [;)]
