I assume there was some kind of injury. What do you make of that dark spot on the left side of his face?
(QDMers only) Here's another question. He looks pretty full in the body. If this buck meets the age limit you are looking for, do you take him?

It looks like an injury happened in the summer when he was growing his rack. JPH I would easily take that buck if he was a mature deer. To me though he doesn't look mature though but im not that good at judging deer.

If he looked to be a 3.5 I would take him.

Friends brother shot a 6pt just like that the other day.. the right antler was completey dead.. just kinda hangin on.. We guessed it was hit by car? Nothing eles we could have thought of.

certainly could be a possibility with this one, This pic is less than a mile from a hwy.

I saw one like that two seasons ago. The pedicil looks like it was broken away from the skull while in velvet and only hanging on by the skin. The one I saw was a 6 point and the left antler was swinging and hitting him on the face as he walked and it was black just like this one.
