1st BIRD DOWN
Took my daughter out Saturday morning & couldn't quite close the deal on a big gobbler. We had a French student with us that flew in the night before. She got to see tom's, hens, deer , & other wildlife.

Mentored a young man on Sunday morning & put the smack down o a 24# double bearded tom. He was shaking so bad that he couldnt even squeeze the trigger. He finally shot it at about 15yds! It was the 1st time he ever carried a gun while hunting.

To me that is what hunting is all about, the kids!

Season opener in Ohio is Monday. Leaving in about an hour to go set up a popup blind at our farm. Looking forward to a fun day out there.

Set up the pop up and made a natural blind for a buddy. Except for a little mist in the air, the day was perfect. Lots of great memories in those woods. (My daughter will try to give me lessons this w/e on reducing the size of photos...if successful, I have lots of pictures that I'd like to share)
Thanks Msbadger...fun is all I had today.
