Lolly Buck Farm Video

Postby OptimO » Wed Mar 16, 2011 11:01 am

My buddy was nice enough to let me tag along on his hunts with my new video camera. We seen a lot of young bucks and a couple of shooters but things never came together for us. My buddy has never shot a deer with archery equipment before but he still decided to pass on all the young bucks we saw... hopefully next year things will pan out for him.

That was an enjoyable video. Always great to see deer.
Curious, was that Private, public or an outfitters land? Also, how many days did it take to get that footage?
Thanks, great Vid!

Thanks for the good words Rutnut and to answer your question, it was on extremely private land. I'm not exactly sure how many days we hunted together... around 8-10 days I would guess.

Hey Rubydog. I'm using a Sony Handycam xr-150 and it wasn't cheapest camera I was looking at but it had all the features I was interested in. The camera cost around 650 dollars. I only have one complaint... I really wish it had a jack for an external microphone but all in all I'm happy with my purchase. Also, I recently bought two 8 hour battery packs, a wide angle lens, and pistol grip for it so I can capture some truely awesome spring turkey hunting action. I can hardly wait.
