Must-See Meat Pole Photo

Postby Ben Sobieck » Thu Jan 27, 2011 12:53 pm

There are only two things I know about this photo.

1) It's from somewhere in Wisconsin.

2) It shows one heckuva meat pole.

Enjoy!

Wisconsin has lots of deer and can produce huge bucks if hunters would give them a chance. It is nice to see some people are having good success with deer management!

Pretty impressive! Must be working A LOT of acres if they can take that many bucks and still consider themselves QDM. Looks like a hunt club to me. We have a hunt club across the road from where I hunt that has 2000+ acres. If they were to make the hunters keep their deer "on the pole" till the end of the season - I could see that kind of a picture happening (maybe not with that many impressive deer though).

Look at the neck on the one directly under the skull plate, dead center!

This reminds me of my uncle's old hunting stories in PA... except they would have all been spikes and fork horns.

Go QDM.

Not bad, I like the signs held up for first bucks taken by those hunters. Looks like they might have to wait a couple years to shoot more bucks like that, that land has got to be picked clean of decent bucks after last season.
I only hunt on days that end in ' Y '.

Amen Nubs. We are over-run with Deer here in NC and my Friends will still shoot a 3 pointer after seeing 20 Does then complain about not having Big Bucks. Go Figure.
