I doubt anyone on this forum thought this was real, but it's worth pointing out this is a hoax. The images are part of a viral marketing campaign for a movie called "Super 8." You can read the story about it here. The hoax story states the trail cam was placed in Louisiana near Honey Island, home to the Honey Island Swamp Monster of lore. I suppose this formed the basis of credibility when the viral campaign was launched. But it's a hoax no matter how you cut it.
Speaking of the Honey Island Swamp Monster, video unrelated to the marketing campaign recently surfaced showing the Monster walking upright through the woods kind of like Bigfoot. However, an investigation this year by the SyFy channel TV show, "Fact or Faked?", revealed the video most likely shows a hunter walking through the woods in a ghillie suit.
Has hunting ever been this weird?
