Magnum is right. Use the spruce bolts as a reference--that would be one scary beaver. I blew the picture up and either the pic was distorted or someone altered the picture and mismatched the head of one animal with the body of another. Looks like a bear head and beaver body.

It looks like a capybara. A large South American rodent. Check out the picture in wikipedia.

That friends, is the sasquopottomus (latin name). They are common "house" pets for sasquatch. Kind of like big foots version of a dog.

This looks exactly like a Capybara, a huge aquatic South American rodent, reputed to be the largest in the world. I have seen them in So. America, so I know what they look like. What it would be doing here I can't imagine. Possibly an escaped captive? It certainly is NOT a Fisher, a Beaver or a bear.

At first glance, I immediately thought Beaver.
Upon closer examination, I think it could also be a porcupine that has no quill collar.....

but, I don't think it is a fisher, pig, bear cub or chubacabra.....lol nor do I think it is an exotic species on the loose. (but, stranger things have been released into the wild so, who knows until it is caught or killed or dies of some unknown means)

I would dare say it is just a black wild hog and it does not have large tusks. It almost looks like its lifting its leg to pee like a dog on the log pile to mark its turf. Maybe a deformed hog but definately a hog.

Not sure if you have them there but it looks like a hog to me.

Though no expert, I agree with 44Magnum. Looks to me like a sow bear with her head twisted and turned very sharply left. What appears to be the snout may be her right ear. The front of her face appears smudged as if there's water on the camera lens. And what of her left side? Looks to me like it's her belly, rubbing on the stack of logs.

I still say it is a beaver. But, the question is, are we ever going to find out what it is?
