MY 2010 TROPHY.

This is one of my 2010 public land national forest bucks, he scored 140", not a giant but he looked mighty good coming along the top of that ridge. One of those perfect days in the deer woods, Jan, 14, 2010, taken at 7:50 AM, 24 degrees, wind about 1 mile per hour just one of those perfect days. Got in my stand 1 hour before daylight, he came along the ridgetop at 7:50 in that brisk rut walk with his nose to the ground looking for does, he picked his head up about halfway twice, shot him walking at 80 yds., traveled 5 yards & went down. It was just one of those beautiful days that is burned into your memory bank. ENJOY.

Thats a great buck! Would qualify as a giant in my book. What state were you hunting in that the rut was going on in January? Must be in the south.

Hunting in Alabama- we have a late rut, it goes on after season ends.

The only real difference between a good tracker and a bad tracker is observation. All the same data is present for both. The rest is understanding what you are seeing.

Are his right G-2 and 3's touching your ceiling or is it an illusion? I was just admiring your buck again and just noticed that.
