First hard antlered trailcam pic

Postby charlie 01 » Fri Sep 16, 2011 10:47 pm

Got my first hard antlered trailcam pic today. He is a wide 8pt. Never saw him last season but had numerous pics of him, usually late night travels. Found one side of his sheds. But, he is not the one I'm after.

Any pics of the one you are after? This one looks good though.

Yes he is a good buck, but my limit is usually one deer a year and I'll keep trying for the one I want, even if it takes all season waiting for him to make a mistake. This will be my third season with him. Only one pic of him this year is of him in velvet.

The first pic of the deer walking away is a Bushnell IR that I got for a gift. Not crazy about IR night shots. Day pics are good though. The bottom pic is from a Cuddy-back capture. I like the camera enough to have 3. Had trouble with one, I believe my first, sent it in and they sent a brand new one for $100.00. I think it was 3 yrs old.

The only Bushnell pic is of the fuzzy buck walking away. The other good looking pics are from a Cuddy-back capture.

Got the first hard antler pic of the one I've been after. Looks to me he may be starting to regress.
