Swamp Life, I really didn't even know there were bucks like that in S. Florida, and you've taken a couple of them in one year!

I've been haveing a great deer season so far. I took off the last couple weeks for vacation, and have lived in a tree. I've seen a good amount of deer, but they always frustrate me by being out of range or not offering a shot.

I shot a 9pt with a split g2 on Nov 12th. I now hunt dark to dark which I never used to do, but I shot this deer at 1pm so i'm a beliver.now. I just happend to see a doe jump the trail in a single bound...i knew what that meant...got steady, and saw a slight flash of white! Bamm, down for the count.Best shot i ever made. I was shaking like crazy....I just love hunting deer and i'll quit the day i dont get excited like that. I wanted to send a MSG to my bud, but couldnt even hold the phone! Love it!

A week to the day I shot a doe at first light. She was sneaking behind me in the thick. Saw an opening ahead and made a grunt sound...she stopped perfectly. I made a nice shot with my arrow and she dropped in sight.

I wish I could hunt everyday..it just cant be beat.

Got steady, and saw a flash of white! and Bamm downfor the count. Well I am sure glad I am not hunting in your woods. That flash of white could have been toilet paper. KNOW your target and what is behond

Killed this buck on the 2nd day of shotgun season in Indiana. F.D. 190#+. Green score of right at 130. Found his sheds last Spring. Also, pretty sure they were his the year before. Not a monster, but on my land, so special to me.

Congrats to all the rest. Good luck to the, thus far, unlucky.

Still chipping away at doe control and filling freezers.

I used the high winds to do some spot and stalk hunting in a picked bean field. I used a little slope to belly crawl to within 20 yds. of this one.
