Sounds like a couple of adventures! That is a fine looking animal, and will make a excellent trophy. Well done sir.
The only real difference between a good tracker and a bad tracker is observation. All the same data is present for both. The rest is understanding what you are seeing.

Ouch...yea, those big ones don't drag too easy. Thank goodness for ATV's.

Nice mature deer, night pics are tough but id say 135 ish if equal 10 and avg mass.

Last week i was fortunate to take this handsome 9 pt in northern Texas on the second Morning of a 4 day hunt,
First time to TX and not the last. Quicky score of 130.

Nice Doit. I like the wave to his left main beam. Good positioning of the front legs for the picture too.
