How long is the hunting season?

I bought getting close seasons 1,2,3 haha.. And while watching them I believe said that it was July and they were deer hunting in Iowa, in another show it was late Nov I believe and he said they were hunting deer again in Iowa..  How many can you take there? Because it seems to me that Lee shoot's more than 2 bucks a year in Iowa, on their property. No knocks on him Im sure he's following the book in all I was just wondering. Maybe it was just late and didnt hear it right aswell.
