arrow questions 250's or 350's

Me and a buddy just got new bows this year and wonder about the arrows we have to shoot with
We were recommended to the CE 350's ... No problem there but our bows boast an IBO speed
Of 318 fps
We tested the bows with a chronograph and with the 350's we are between 245 and 254 fps ??...
And we're wondering if it would be safe to use 250's to get the extra speed ....... Both of us are
Set at 65 lbs draw he is 27" dl and I am 28.5"

Wold the 250's hold up for the extra speed or should we just stick to the 350's ????

Need a little more info.. Set at 65 pounds tho, I can say you probably wont be able to use the 250's. depending on what the arrows gpi are and your arrow lenght.. along with your tip weight and the type of vanes you use and the kind of knocks you have. you will probably be right on the border line which for hunting is not good. I would not jeopardize safety to get more speed. "general" rule of thumb is 50-60 draw lbs use 250. 60-70 pounds use 350. There is a grains per pound number you can get close to, but again, especially for hunting you dont not want to be close to that line. Ive tried to get close to that line for target shooting and have had a terrible time getting arrows to fly correctly. This close to archery season, i would be fine tuning what I have set up and continue to get familair with that. THat speed you are shooting is plenty to kill a deer...

well as for me ... 29" arrow length 100 grain tip or 100 grain swhacker broad head ..
my buddy ... 28" arrow 100 grain tip or broad head

2" blazer vanes

so if i am reading the manual correctly our bows should shoot 5gr per lb of draw ...
65lbs dw would equate to a 325 grain arrow ...

so if the math is correct ... if i buy 250gr arrows and add on the knock vanes and 100gr tip would that not be more than 325 gr of arrow weight ???
the guys at the archery shop and bass pro say the 350's shaft can handle the force from the bow ... and would strain the shaft of the 250's

i guess my curiosity is there but my buddy wants to make the move for the 2013 season ...
