Well now.....they now have a cell phone app that gives you real time wind conditions. Amazing.

But what's amazing to me is that someone actually feels they need to consult their cell phone to tell which ways the wind's blowing WHEN THEY ARE IN THE WOODS!!!! Really???? Are they THAT helpless???

I listen to the weather on the truck radio as I drive to my hunting grounds. That gives me a very general idea of where the wind may be coming from. But I never decide where I will actually hunt until I'm standing outside of my truck at my hunting site. The vast majority of the time the wind conditions that I heard on the radio is NOT what I'm seeing now.

Feeling the wind on my face or looking at the fine string I have attached to the end of my bow or shotgun is FAR more accurate, doesn't require batteries, and best of all is FREE.

normally the wind is blowing completely opposite the weather report
