Woodsie: I got an advance copy of that pattern to try out. I got so badly stuck in the zipper that it took over an hour and two pair of pliers to get me out. I was an hour late getting onto my stand. I guess that means it works.

We're back in from the field. The data is still crunching. Dang! Poor Scooter got it again. The bucks are in their seeking phase. A DST-crazed buck mistook Scooter for a doe on the way out to the test stand today. After a rather bad mauling, Scooter was able to crawl into the pit blind and escape. Judging from the night-vision camera footage, it looks like the same buck Scooter ran into 2 years ago with the basal temperature probe. It looks like the buck got revenge on poor Scooter. The EMT's said it's incredible what they can do with reconstructive surgery now, so we are all optimistic.
