checked a camera last night got some cool pics of a bobcat , not many around here and I have never seen one

Where are you located? Never having seen one and not many around makes me wonder if you have bigger and badder predators in your neck of the woods.

I usually kill one or two every year, and actually killed one back in 2005 that was only a few ounces shy of the SC state record at the time. It's the only taxidermy mount I own. It was a big male and had to be mounted on a Northern Lynx form, due to the unavailability of a bobcat form large enough.

Down here, we have bobcats, gray and red fox, and of course the damn coyotes. I kill every predator I get an opportunity to kill, including feral dogs and coydogs.
