Last year when PETA harassed pigeon hunters at Broxton Bridge Plantation a few miles from my house, the guides shot the drone out of the sky! The PETA folks were trespassing on plantation property across the highway from where the shoot was located when they launched the drone and the law ruled that the plantation employees were well within their rights to shoot it down, especially since here in SC it's illegal to harass hunters. This made national news and the PETA folks tried to claim that their drone cost thousands of dollars, when in actuality it was purchased as a kit from Radio Shack and equipped with a video camera, so it was actually a remote controlled hobby aircraft and not an actual drone. This point also didn't help their case when it went to court. Of course the lame stream media never bothered to correct the misinformation or provide the facts concerning what the "drone" actually was nor where PETA was located when they interfered in the hunt.
