Greetings from sunny Costa Rica.

Postby RichardBlank » Tue Dec 16, 2008 2:34 pm

After reading a few threads, I wanted to introduce myself to this community.  I look forward to sharing ideas with other forum members.

Growing up in Pennsylvania, we always had deer lurking about. In Costa Rica, not too many.

Best regards,

Richard

Welcome RichardBlank!
How about you and I switch places? I bet you miss the 12 degree weather and 4 inches of snow we have here (Missouri) right now.

Robert,

Thanks for the reply and "warm" welcome.

There is always an open invitation to visit. The downside, no hunting.

Yet, if you enjoy sport fishing, this is the place.

you might not miss the cold weather but i am sure that u miss the hunting and sport fishing is a blast especially snook fishing. i did that a year or two ago. i caught a few nice snook but my friends dad caught a snook that probably weighed 30 pounds and was 50 some inches long it was a blast and good luck to you.[:D]

Archery_NUT,

The best fishing I have done so far was down the Rio de San Juan in Nicaragua. Pretty much cast and catch. We started at San Carlos and went 70 KM down towards El Castillo.

Best week of fishing I have ever done. Now, the law in Costa Rica states that a Gringo must leave the country every 3 months for 72 hours. It forces you to take a vacation.
