Game farm buck

Postby AfterShock95 » Thu Nov 06, 2008 1:03 pm

I was wondering what everyone thinks about game farm bucks being entered in to Pope and Young records to. Or do you think there should be something kind of sign beside it letting everyone know that is was taken from a game farm? Just wondering what everyone else thinks

I can see letting them in, but I have to agree that they sould have to have a farm mark by it

P&Y is based off of fair chase. They should not even consider allowing these in.

I agree with Goose. Pope and Young is and should always stay fair chase. That is what makes it special and a great achievement.

I agree with the majority here because P and Y or B and C are fair chase, and game farm bucks shouldn't be considered.

I agree, P&Y & B&C should always be fair chase only, and they get entered because the hunter worked hard to get a buck that big, where as the game farm the buck doesnt have any pressure to worry about and is most likely give protein boosts thus taking away any chance from the free range hunter.

I don't consider game farm bucks slaughtered behind a fence "deer" in the sense of the magnificent beasts that we hunt every fall.
I see them more as merely life support systems for large calcium deposits, because that's all their purchasers regard them as.

They should be entered into a book of some sort. Maybe call the book I got this buck on sale.
