Postby brownez » Mon Oct 27, 2008 2:25 pm

GREAT HUNT!!!tonight i sat in my make shift ground blind. A little windy but nice. Thought id try rattling a little. went out about 4;30. After first rattling secq. caught movement to right by standing corn. Nice 8pt came in,looked around, about 40yards out. Caught wind of my doe in heat bombs, came on a dead run right to me, 10yards broadside. My rage 2 blade tore him up!!!! He didnt go 30 yards and piled up! Hit the rattlers, there out and about ladies and gentelman.
take a kid hunting, youll never have to hunt him!

Way to go!  Be sure to post pics on the "Post your 2008 Harvest Pics!" thread.  You'll find it in the photo corner forum.

Congrats on the buck...good hunt
Been windy here as well seeing deer but only fawns spikes and doe coming in close enough for a shot...couple weeks left ...I'm holding off a bit...though last night on differant property I shot right at closing and missed a doe by about 3"...over her shoulder heavier coat and not aiming low enough on a close is what I'm hoping for.....great great grandson of the buck I took in shot gun a few years ago.....

Congratulations - I'll try some rattling in a day or two myself.
