youth hunts

Next weekend is the opening for La. youth hunts. I am taking my 8 yo son and needless to say, I am stoked. Don't think I've ever been this excited for a deer season and I'm not even the one hunting! He's been with me several times but this will be his first year to pull the trigger. Probably going to get him early from school Friday and head to the camp. Look forward to starting my own traditions with him, like my father did with me. Anyone else taking their kids for the first time this year?
