Around here other than the coyote releases and the cougars released, I hear alot about the ODW dropping timber rattlers from helicopters.  I spent a short time working for the ODW and talked to a few biologist all  denied any such activity.

ORIGINAL: dtrain56

Only 140 live weight, that is truley a myth, i have shoot two doe that were dressed out at 128 and 132 respectivley...and those were weighed at check stations, not my scale..

so i know the guts of a deer weigh at least 15 lbs if not 20 or more

140...myth busted

Take another look. The author was talking about does that DRESSED out at 150 lbs. He himself claimed a 137 lb. field dressed doe kill.
If we use the FDW X 1.26 = LW formula ( http://www.askthemeatman.com/estimate_deer_weight.htm ) the "mythical" 150 lb. dressed doe would be 189 lb. live.

the coyotes thing is popular here also that the insurance companies are bribing the dec/dnr to allow for more doe permits
