Rechargeable battery for Moultrie d-40 GAME WATCHER [/align][hr]

I have read on previous posts that the Moultrie Game Watcher has a 12 volt Solar power supply which is actually converts to 9 volts. Is this true?

I have the Moultrie d-40 Game watcher and I am looking for a rechargeable external battery for it. I do not know wether to get a 12 V battery or 9 V. And according to other posts, if I hook up anything other that Moultrie battery the warrenty is void.

To be honest I really dont care if the warrenty is voided. I just want a good hook up for this camera so that I can quit throwing my money away in D-cell batteries. Any suggestions other than the $90 Moultrie solar supply?[/align]

I hear your pain....dang I've gone 6 6v batteries in my Moultrie...mine has a externalconnection for solar and I think I read somewhere that radio shack can hook you up withthe parts to use a solar charger.....google making solar charger for moultrie camera and see if you can find any thing
