Opening Weekend

So, now that some states have opened their bow seasons, how was everyone's opening weekend?  Here in Minnesota I was able to get out opening night.  I saw 4 silhouettes that I know of, it was getting dark and they were hard to see, but I know they were deer.  Those were the only deer that I saw this weekend.  Plan on going out a few times this week and weekend.  Good Luck to everyone!  Can't wait to hear he stories!

I cant wait for the 27th as that is when SD archery season opens. The blood has been flowing and the binos and spotting scope have been out at least once a week.

Wisconsin opened up best time of the year.. I shot a doe at 7am opening morning saw 2 or 3 deer every day and even saw two spotted fawns sunday night no mama doe with them and no I didnt kill mom the doe i shot was with another doe in the food plot for 25 mins before the rage found its mark,,

I can't wait for South Dakota seasons to open myself, I go out to Perkins County for Antelope the the 4th of October and back the Second weekend of November for Whitetails.  My first time out there was last year and absolutely loved it as did my hunting partner.

I used to go out west every year but my archery addiction seems to consume all my time on the east side of the missouri river now. I should start taking the old man back out there again each year. We always had a blast!

Grats on the doe schlupis. Our weekend in Wis was slow. Sat morning I had some hounds run through to the east of me, later that morning I had a couple of folks come in to the north of me and fire up chainsaws then aas I was walking out I had a pick up truck with kennels in the bed and a bear on top of the kennels pull into the same parkin area and head out looking for another bear. Sat. afternoon it rained hard until about an hour of legal time. we got out on the back of our property this tme and Dad was the only one ot see a doe, she never gavea good shot. Sun. morning we got poured on again. Then it was back to work. So three and only saw one deer but what a great way to blow a weekend.

Thanks i know sat night rained hard I didnt make it to the stand but my buddy did and at 430 had a 15 inch 8 point come in and stay until dark in the food plot. I cant wait to get back in the stands have a lot of deer tracks in the new food plots...

Hey everyone,
I shot a nice 2.5 year old 8 pointer on MN opening day (9/13).  I didn't make it out in the morning due to the rain.  FINALLY the rain let up and I got to my stand at 3:45pm.  I literally climbed up, hung up my bow and backpack...was reaching in for my safety belt....looked down...and there he was 17 yards away!  Unreal.
