bucks are moving

Postby Robert Rowland » Sun Sep 07, 2008 11:21 pm

I am beginning to get some trail cam pictures of bucks in an area that was nothing but does all summer. I am seeing alot more tracks at the road crossings too.

Interesting that the buck in the first picture is still in full velvet, and in the second picture, one buck is hard antlered, and the other appears to be in transition.

It's that time of year bucks shed thier velvet, like casting antlers and growing new antlers they all do it at different stages, just depends on the certain deer's internal clock. I've been seeing a few P&Y bucks feeding out in the open along roads around here. I'll be watching for a mature buck this bow season, maybe even one I havent seen yet! I'm getting the fever![8D]
