Same thing here in Indiana, Early Archery Season opens October 1.

My partner and I have rarely hunted opening day, or weekend, it`s usually way to sticky and it would be a race to get an animal to the freezer if one was put down.

Is the weather there usually pretty mild by opening day of your bow season?

Archery season starts this weekend in KY.  I'm on the sidelines with a bum shoulder, but I never hunted this  early anyway-- too dang hot.

Well here in NY unless I travel up north ...I have to wait until Oct 18th for bow hunting then nov. 14 for gun....squirrel is now yotes Oct 1...[:(]
