last years deer almanac from D&DH has an article .You can check out a place called Van Dykes taxidermy or McKenzie taxidermy can sell you everything you need and provide more info.I di one by leaving the skull outside and letting the bugs do the work.The other one i boiled and removed all the skin and cleaned it up .it takes some time but its simple to do.
