8mm Remington Mag or 35 Whelen

i was looking into making a rifle and was looking into the 35 Whelen and the 8mm Remington Mag. I was looking for something that i could use also use for big game and possible whitetail.

Good choice for regular hunting but I don't know if that rifle fit for gaming.
