Great Job!! I've never hunted turkeys specifically, but it's something I hope to get into. I always buy the $5 fall archery tag in case I get a shot when I'm in the deer woods.

Hmmm, I suspect fowl play! Nicely done.
The only real difference between a good tracker and a bad tracker is observation. All the same data is present for both. The rest is understanding what you are seeing.

Nice job. That's a beauty.

I just got my first turkey ever on Sunday morning.

I think I might be hooked.

Congrats Big horse! :D ...I'm sure you are...I know I have been since the first Jake I took....it ranks pretty even with bow hunting...This year has been crazy....lots of birds around and today is the first time EVER I've had this many Toms in one area...I cleaned the bird and took the left overs across the street to dispose of...looks like there's been a hatch of something because the entire upper wood lot was freshly tore up and thought I heard something running away....I thought I heard the baby grass hoppers in the leafs before the snow storm ...but assumed they wouldn't have made it...I'm thinking different now...The Tom I shot had very little in his crop...a few beetles and a little green and what looked like bark?
