Any good hunting quotes?

Postby HuntingAddict1775 » Wed Nov 06, 2013 7:27 pm

Anyone know any good hunting quotes? Just looking to make some signs that have some quotes on them and hang them around the house.

My uncle would always call my lucky when I was successful. My response was, "Luck is a bi-product of skill".

Eat, sleep, hunt, repeat.

Live to hunt, hunt to live.

No matter how long you boil 'em, you can't eat the horns.

" a bad day of hunting beats a good day at work, everytime."
The only real difference between a good tracker and a bad tracker is observation. All the same data is present for both. The rest is understanding what you are seeing.

"Work is for people that don't hunt."

"Live to hunt, hunt to live."

The next two are quotes from my best hunting buddy. The first is his response to my asking him what his "game plan" was for opening morning of gun season the evening before as we consumed adult beverages.....

"My plan? Shoot 'em, drag 'em out of the woods."

Then his response to a question that a newbie asked him about any good ideas about where and how to find deer....

"They are, where they're at, when the're there, so you be."

Then there's my sig line......
Hunt Hard,

Kill Swiftly,

Waste Nothing,

Offer No Apologies.....

Just remembered one.
From one of those PETA type folks:

Hugger of trees: "How can you kill those beautiful animals!!!??!?!"

Hunter: "Practice and a steady aim"
"Go as far as you can see; when you get there, you'll be able to see farther."

A hunter who was on his first moose hunt and not entirely sure of a moose's anatomy asked his guide where is the best place to shoot a moose? The guides response was, "near the forklift".
