Interesting bit of info if anyone is interested. Somehow, this kind of fell into my lap with and I began helping someone on a very interesting project. Through funding from TPWD, we are developing an aging key for white wing doves for wildlife biologists that study the doves and encounter nests an may want to know how old the doves harvested by hunters are or the nestlings during nesting season. Its quite impressive to see a day by day sequence, and how in a mere 14 days a young nestling is fully feathered ready to fly.
