Turkey Down in Ohio

Called this bird in this morning for one of my buddies, you can tell by the bird it was a little wet out there this morning. It's his first bird since 2004, I don't know who was more excited me or him. Headed back out in the morning, hopefully it's under a little better weather conditions.

When a hunter is in a tree stand with high moral values and with the proper hunting ethics and richer for the experience, that hunter is 20 ft. closer to God.

I like it almost as much as killing them myself, we were sitting on the same tree, I was facing back towards the woods incase one came in behind our set up he was facing the dekes, I had the bird at 30 yds to my right before he could see it, I knew instantly when he saw it because I could feel him shaking over there, he really got shook once he clicked the safety off. I've called in several birds for people but I don't think there was ever anyone more appreciative than he was this morning.

Awesome story OHhunter! I called in a bird for my dad on Saturday and it's always great to call one in for friends or family.

Off to a good start, I shot this guy this morning about 7:00, killed him in my mushroom patch, came strutting a gobbling into my single hen set up.
