A guy at work has begun selling his blood plasma, and I notice more radio commercials asking for people to participate in drug trials, usually one or two thousand dollars for a 4 week study. I don't know anyone who has done it though.

We've cut back on our spending quite a bit, I noticed truck orders starting to slow down about 2 years ago, so we kinda started planning and saving for the worst case scenerio then.  Putting a hold on all remodeling projects, eating out and vactions.  Unfortenately I was laid off last fall for a couple months only to be called back and laidoff again in January.  Thankfully my wife got a promotion over the same time period, that has helped out a lot.
