How's your garden doing?

One of my tomatoes is starting to throw out a few blossoms, but most of the others are struggling. I think the constant cold keeps setting them back.
Watermelon is very slow, the pumpkins were starting to leaf out real nice, then they stalled too.  I think a good week of warm air and water will jump start everything again.
 
However, my best thing going so far is my praying hands banana. It's over 13' now, 30" around at the base and threw out a flower last week! The flower is HUGE. The flower will continue to "grow" toward the direction of the ground, while it grows the fruit will start above it on the stem. I think about 45 -60 days on this plant for fruit maturity. Hopefully the squirrels and my dog will leave the plant alone!

Actually, I mentioned the squirrel problem. I have tried faux owls and it didn't keep them from eating the plant. Someone suggested a rubber snake. Since we have coral snakes, and my daughter had a rubber one, I gave it a try.

Looking forward to get my garden going. Not to much of a garden just a few tomatoe plants and a couple pepper plants. Cant beat a fresh tomatoe off the plant. The way our spring is starting looks like it will be a while though.

It's perfect weather here!  26 degrees 2" of fresh snow 4 mph wind, a good day for a still hunt.  What do you mean it's not November?

Good idea! There's no law that says you can't HUNT the deer, you just can't carry a weapon or shoot them.
