Several years ago, my wife, daughter and I were on our way home from church one Sunday morning, and as is our custom, I went through the drive thru at McDonald's to order egg McMuffins for them. They don't care for the Canadian bacon, so when I order those I say, 'And no meat please.'
 
Well this time, this girls voice replies over the speaker,
 
'They don't come with meat, they come with CANADIAN BACON. '
 
My wife and I looked at each other with incredulity, and said,
 
 'Whatever, but I think the pig might have a different opinion.'[:)]
 
This incident made me realize just how hard a battle we have with the general public concerning matters related to hunting and wildlife management in general. I mean, if they don't even know that Canadian bacon is animal flesh, then expecting them to understand the nuances of habitat/wildlife dynamics is akin to explaining quantum physics to a rock.

I don't have a problem with anyone that thinks hunting is wrong as long as they leave me a lone. I don't like golf but I don't try to tell anyone that plays they are wrong and you can have my last pork chop if I'm lying. Poor little balls..........
